After all of the emails going back and forth you guys have come to a stalemate. If either one of the candidates for president wins, you still all lose! The series at a minimum will be cut in half and with the car counts the lowest in the past two years you are doing a disservice to all. Does anyone remember just a couple years ago CSR having 18 and 19 car fields? If you want to race with six cars in each division, then you better start clearing your Sunday schedules for next summer, because you will be back racing with the go karts before you know it. None of the tracks are going to want to see your six little cars going around the track. You guys already have a hard time getting any respect from the tracks now. Stop the nonsense, Do what is right for the series.

A compromise to consider

Naples steps down from the nominaton for President and Gehrke runs unopposed

Termanis and Ellis step down from the nomination for Treasurer and Naples is nominated for the position and runs unopposed

Termanis and Ellis are free to run for any of the other positions.

Now both are on the board and nither has any more power than the other. The series stays united.

Does it take someone from Wisconsin to figure this out?

Im open to discussing it. But bigger than Steve or me, is what the members of CSR think about it.

I can say with almost complete certainty that minicupracer has not attended any of the CSR meetings, and that he or she is only voicing second hand information or what he or she has gathered from the emails.

I can only speak for the currant situation, with the existing board. We have been in contact with several tracks, and several drivers from all over the Midwest in preparation for the upcoming 2010 season, in speaking with these tracks and drivers I can say with complete confidence that if the currant board is re elected that yes, we will lose a few drivers, but I can assure you… we will never be 6 little cars running around the track.

As for racing with the go karts. I believe to grow the junior division; we need to race with the go karts. Most of our junior division came from go karts after seeing our Super Cup cars. I myself can say that I am willing to clear a couple of my Sundays next summer, if it means exposing our great junior division to some go karters looking for the next step. Our kids are the future of racing. Look at Camden Murphy, Kyle Brinkmann, Garrett Goodwin, Jake Zellmer, Morgan Schissel, Cody Lipstreuer, these are just a few examples of our kids moving up into the big leagues, all with fond memories of their CSR Super Cup experience.

When you say… We have a hard time getting respect from the tracks. I’m not sure what you mean by that. We are not even done with our season and I have spoken with several tracks. One has offered us 18 Saturday nights in front of the fans as our home track; the others have offered great Saturday night options for us in front of the fans, 2 of them called me. Yes we have low car counts, all the different series do, but don’t underestimate the respect our tracks have for us.

We need to pick a leader for CSR, band together behind which ever is chosen, and build CSR into the # 1 Super Cup series in the Midwest.

Let the drivers decide,I am for whatever is best for the series,
Steve # 4
