How about until car counts increase again, we combine the Junior and Adult divisions?

I think this would help the tracks put on a better show and give us more laps in heats and features. In order to get good saturday night races, we have to put on a good show for the tracks and when they have to run 2 seperate races for a 10 car and 5 car field, i get the feeling the tracks would be happier with one show. Again i think we can get 5-10 more laps in features at each track.

Please debate, but its just an idea, so please respect all opinions.

I respect your opinion Erik, but I have to disagree with you on this one big time. Safety....Safety...Safety.... Yes some of the JR's could run with the adults but not all of them can. I have big concerns for not only the safety of the JR's but the Adults as well. As a JR parent there is no way I would agree to this. More laps would be nice but not at the risk of the safety of the drivers.

I agree Kevin, Safety should always come first.

What we really need is for some of our existing drivers to blow the dust off those cars, and get out to the tracks.

I look forward to a great final race at Grundy and an even better 2010 season.

I don't understand. If there are juniors who CAN race with the adults, then how can these juniors race with juniors who CAN'T race with the adults?

Wasn't this done at Plymouth this year? Also, what happens in the future if only three or four juniors show up at a race? If the track won't run them by themselves, do we send them home or run with the adults?

There are other leagues who run one feature with multiple divisions and score them separately. We can still reward the juniors for their accomplishments if they run with the adults.

Kids can always run at Grundy in a kids division too.

Just something to consider. Whatever is best for CSR i'm all for.

I do know there is suppose to be some new kids getting in next year. Hopefully this will not be an issue. If you only had a couple at the track you may have no choice but to run them together although I think we will be fine.

Just to be clear, Im not for or against it right now. I just was hoping for some discourse to see what peoples opinions are. I sincerely hope Jeff is right and that it won't be an issue.

But it would be careless not to at least have a contingency plan in case we have a bad night and only 6 adults and 3 juniors show up. Again, I hope it doesnt happen, but we should ALL come up with a plan, just in case it does. It sounded like things went well at Plymouth when it happened, so maybe we just follow that example. Or any other suggestions?

I agree with you Erik that every once in awhile it would be OK. But the way it came across to me and to some others was that you wanted to do it for all of next season. If that is not the case then I am fine with it.
