Ok...I have been reading your posts and everyone has great ideals on enhancing the rules of the league for sportsmanship. I haven't the foggiest clue to what the "terminology" you all are using, such as; "invert"? No clue. Someone please school me on this. As a Quality Manager, I view everything as black and white. No grey area. It is either right or wrong. With that said and in regards to the engine rebuilders/builders, I would recommend that any authorized Honda Small Engine builder be placed on an Approved Suppliers List (ASL) of the CSR. The rules and regulations of 2009 have the specs for the engines and this should be forwarded to the engine builders and the drivers. To set-up an Approved Supplier, we would need to create an instruction, form, etc., and distribute to these builders. We evaluate them on characteristics and if they do poorly, then they are taken off the ASL. The CSR already has restrictions on where or what manufacturer body we can have and the frame and as new businesses come forward, we can add to the ASL under a Provisional code. Building a league is like operating a business - find the best suppliers at the lowest possible cost.

In my opinion, the decrease in numbers is not only the past economy, but the up-start cost to participate. I am fortunate that I have a good job and my wife has a better one, but not everyone is as fortunate. Yes, you all have paid the price to race - but if you want to increase or retain drivers, we need to continually improve and lower the costs for others to join.

Lastly, I have read all about "sandbagging" another term that I do not know. Why do we have to have heats? Why can't we just have a 2-lap qualifying run? We are supposed to have transponders on the cars - using this would eliminate "sandbagging". Also, eliminating the heats, we would be able to race the feature longer than what the norm is. I want to race and not sit or stand around waiting to get on the track.

I appreciate your time. FYI - I am going through the current rules and providing my recommendations for additions, modification and deletions. This provides me the opportunity to read and understand what the current rules are. Bob
