I made a trip to the Dells this morning and spoke with the Director of Group Sales at the Polynesian to try to get them to drop their rates for the September race. I have new rates for our races. The full email from her will be posted later - so, for now:
May 2/3: $89.95 + tax for a DQ, DQ with sofa or a single king
May 30/31: DQ is $109.95, DQ with sofa is $129.95, DQ at
Polynesian Isle (across the parking lot but with full use of
water park) is $119.95 (all + tax!)
June 27/28: DQ with sofa at Polynesian is $169.95
DQ at Polynesian Isle is $119.95
September 12/13: DQ is $69.95, DQ with sofa is $79.95
Clearly, they cannot do much during peak season (late May and the June races) but they sure cut some dollars off of the September race.
All the dates/prices are under M3Racing. You will need to mention that when calling and booking. Also, if you don't like any of those amounts, you certainly won't offend by seeking other accomodations.

For those that dont need the Pomp and Circumstance of the Polynesian for the first race of the year, I checked the Days Inn has a rate of $70/night and the Best Western is $59/night, just for 5/3/08. Both are right in the area of the Polynesian.
