Lets make the first showdown race all it's exspected to be
FROM THE FENCE.... Another great show guys AND girls. The full crowd of people really liked the racing. The Super Cups simply "FLY" on that track. My hat is off to you guys for how you race that close at those speeds.
What was up with that re-start??? A car stopped on the backstretch and they throw the GREEN. A little scary but you guys handled it without anyone getting hurt.
Junior Super Cup. AWESOME job! No accidents of major note. Lined up nice and quick, kept the show moving and some nice close racing. Kids and parents should be proud.
Fix-em...polish-em up and get ready for the next one.
Thanks. It was fun to have to drive through all that traffic. What did your other potential Super Cup drivers think? Remember our kids division had a lot of rookeies but I think they did great with all else cosidered.
The kart families were very impressed. I showed them Kyle's test photos and told them a bit a week or so before the event. Like recommending a good movie, it is best to let people be surprised. During all the races I would get a head nod, thumbs up. I noticed serious father and child chats...and the gleam you often only see at Christmas on the face of the kids. We raced on Sunday and had a de-briefing. Every parent agreed the cars far exceeded their expectations. Some are retired stock car racers so that is a great compliment to the racing.
We all agreed the drivers in the Junior Cups were talented racers with a bright future. There is a lot going on out there and they handled it very well. I was impressed that they lined up pretty quick and set a good pace lap. You only get one chance at a first impression and the kids made a good one.
This series is really set for great things to come...you can just feel it.
